Internet access over ham radio network</title><content type='html'>&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I was inquisitive if HAM radio can be used to extend internet connectivity for personal use to far of areas where internet is not reachable... Ham radio is an excellent tool to connect to remote areas or to any sort of places around the globle.... With that, can we forward internet access through HAM radio links just for personal use?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I speculated this issue and did a basic research over internet and found that HAM radio can not be used for commerical purposes.... But then this will be for personal use and no commercial selling or anything... I'm infact new to ham radio as well... MTU parameters usually appear in association with a communications interface (NIC, serial port, etc.). The mtu may be required by standards (as is the case with Ethernet) or decided at connect time (as is usually the case with point-point serial links. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The smallest MTU between two hosts is known as the path MTU. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;High MTU brings higher bandwidth efficiency.
